Chris Forsythe also commonly reffered to as The_Tick on IRC and forums, is the project manager and creator(*) for some of the biggest open source projects on the Mac platform, Adium, Growl*, and Perian*. He first started out by joining the Adium when Adam Iser was the lead developer, he would then later go on to start the Growl project. As project manager of Mr. Fosythe must keep the developers interested in developing and guide them as well as the projects in the proper direction with their expansive feature sets and code, and large user bases. With these projects under his management some developers who work on Adium also contribute to Growl and Perian, allowing Growl and Adium to have tight integration with each other. It is often said that some of these projects and their features are things that should be native within the OS and we can thank Mr. Forsythe and the project teams for this.
