Nik Fletcher is a 20 year old music student from Manchester, England. In addition to music, Nik has always had a keen interest in the internet, and writes for Weblogs Inc's DownloadSquad in addition to his own blog. In recent years, a switch to the Mac rekindled his interest in web design, which started in his eleventh year coding HTML. Since his switch, Nik has been a fervent user of RapidWeaver (a standards-based website creation application). Nik is considered one of the most knowledgeable RapidWeaver users on the planet, and now works part-time for the developers of RapidWeaver. He jokingly considers his multi-faceted lifestyle to be the epitome of the 'portfolio career' encouraged within the music industry.

What makes me interesting:
I'm forever being told that having a portfolio career is essential in music. My problem is that the portfolio is, frankly, wider than simply music. Writer for TUAW (The Unofficial Apple Weblog) and Download Squad, as well as a personal blog I also work part-time for Realmac software as a Support Ninja, and am a keen amateur photographer. The music thing? Yeah. It's part of the portfolio too. Somewhere......
