beyond the bluest skies.
Fly on wings of an angel,
fly on wings of a dove,
fly on wings of an angel,
with your mind on heaven above.”

“Donald values empathy, and in reflection of this wants to plant the seeds for the future of non-violent, problem-solving community, through creativity and the pursuit of knowledge. He loves and dedicates everything to his co-publisher/sweetheart/best friend/soul mate Nikki who has done so much in his life. He also loves his website, his co-authored books and newsletters, his friends, music including The Cradle of Sound. He wants to experience the moment, of every breath. He is a Libra, born in Stockton, schooled in Escalon then San Joaquin Delta College. He is currently looking for work as a web designer or poet-writer-publisher, both of which are too competitive at this time, and in the meantime studying for Web Development certificates. He has been known to write poetry when he is inspired by other people reading, and to sometimes improvise a poem (make one up as he goes from flow of thought). He has always seen poetry as a form of beauty but also of philosophy, expression, and music. He writes to express himself and fulfill that inner need we all have to be happy and complete, to create from our inner wants into a solid work of art! He won second place award in the spiritual category from an 1999 Stockton Arts Commission contest for ‘Suddenly A Fearsome Crow’. He has been published in ‘!ZamBomba!’ (twice), ‘Rattlesnake Review #10’ (coilbound), ‘Final Draft’, numerous self publications such as‘Darwin’s Children’ (comb bound), ‘Naked Poetry’ (comb bound), ‘Midnight Dance / Pathos’ (comb bound), ‘The Traveller’ (stapled), the ‘Poet’s Espresso’ newsletter (zine form), and has been in ‘Jewel of the Valley’, a book by Blue Moon Press. He is currently Co-publisher and Co-editor working on the paperback anthology, Sun Shadow Mountain with Nikki Quismondo and Lance Wesley Hudson, and the newsletter Poet’s Espresso (every two months), with Nikki. He started his journey in poetry with a poem that he wrote for his grandmother as she was on her last few days of cancer. He didn’t pick it up for more writing until he was moved by wanting to write music lyrics as good as the ones he adored, for recognition. When he took a music lyrics class he found out that basically music lyrics without the music would be better constructed into poetry and in 1995-6 took his first classes in writing poetry, and was first exposed to comb-bound books of poetry as the class made one upon the completion of the semester. He has been online before on the website poetscornerpress.com, hosted by David Humphreys on a featured reading more than once, has hosted his own open mics, and workshops, and has participated often in the poetry open mics, workshops, and other events of the sort, and recently had many featured events with Nikki and the poets from Sun Shadow Mountain the new paperback of poetry, art, and photography. He was way too nervous and tried unsuccessfully to memorize a poem at the Step to the Mic spoken word/slam competition in Stockton a few years back. He likes romance, peace, quiet, creativity, and purpose. He likes to write poetry often, on the feelings of the moment, and used to constantly edit them as well. He still has a ton of old notes from when he would jot down ideas that came to him, though he had so many in his closet that he filled a dumpster with them one of the nights of depression to clean house. He likes a bright hue of blue best, some may call it aquamarine, some turquoise. To him, philosophy is always interesting, learning different perspectives and why they are chosen. He loves beauty and sometimes sadness is beauty but happiness is the best beauty of all. He believes in spirituality and a God, though he believes a little of all the religions has some truth to it, but words of men written in books many years ago wouldn't seem as pertinent to the truths learned from living and experiencing the mistakes and listening to advice of our elders and friends and people we trust and love and respect. He believes that evolution was the method of God’s creating the universe. He believes in destiny and fate, but that we are part of shaping it. He believes in problem solving and that we should form strategies when we do things. He believes in the scientific method of discovery. He likes Robotech. He used to read a lot of science fiction. He would like to learn how to be a songwriter one day. He feels that Nikki is his completion, his other half. He might like to be a Cinematographer one day, but is leaning more towards web design and a hobby of publishing and poetry and graphic arts. He is passionate in most everything he does. He believes that heaven will be what Earth will be like one day. He dreams for the sake of dreaming. He believes that it is important to dream for as much as is possible, and to not shorten dreams based on expectations, because it would be the cause of our own limits to greatness. He loves humanity and everyone, though many times he may disagree with people on how they do things, in his search of something better. He believes violence and war is immoral, that there are non-violent solutions and alternatives to wars that he hopes will be explored as civilization and communities that raise the children grow more mature and civilized. It will take overcoming some prejudices and hates that some have been brought to believe are OK. The goal of his own for this life is to work on the long term goals of humanity, the global family, and the future, as any person can make a difference. Many people have made their differences. Struggle for love! Enjoy life! There’s more than one with ‘right’.”
